Wins AIMCAL's 2005 Awards for Technical Excellence

SecureShift® MetaSwitch technology, which combines the overt authentication of SecureShift color-shifting technology and a specially formulated non-shifting color, was awarded with two Technical Excellence Awards from the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL).

AIMCAL's awards recognize significant new technology with impact on the converting industry or consuming market, and products that stand out from the competition. MetaSwitch won these awards in the Coated, Laminated or Metallized Product Security category, as well as in the Label-Retail category. Recently introduced by a leading global pharmaceutical company to protect its prescription drugs in Europe, MetaSwitch offers a contrast between the color shifting and static part of the label that creates an eye-catching effect that is visible only at certain viewing angles. In addition, the ink used in the labels contains SecureShift micro-flakes, which makes it extremely difficult to duplicate. The judges were impressed with the simple and obvious means that the labels provide to authenticate products, the difficult-to-duplicate nature, and the color options available.
